As every experienced engineer knows, the wider variety of instruments you record (including the human voice), the more it becomes apparent that there are many factors involved in getting the recording to sound ‘right’ for the production, including the microphone, the recording environment and the instrument itself. That’s three major factors to consider before any audioprocessing gear comes into play.
