As most project studios are now based around digital audio recording,
it may be thought that transferring audio projects from one system to
another would be simple, but the reality is that this is not always
possible or even straightforward. The actual audio files themselves are
often the simple bit, what can easily get lost in translation are
effects plug-ins, virtual instruments, bussing and automation
information that are tied within the DAW itself.
