Dynamic microphones are workhorse tools that play starring roles both within the recording studio and during live performance. They complement the more sensitive capacitor (condenser) microphone design by offering an alternative that is far more tolerant to harsh conditions (both sonically and environmentally), which itself is a direct result of the design and method of operation.
