Ableton Live 8 - Overdrive your sound
The Overdrive audio effect is a new inclusion in Live 8 and it can be used to treat a variety of sounds. Liam O’Mullane demonstrates a few examples.

Live currently has a total of six distortion based effects, ranging from subtle, tube-like tones to the extremes of brutal wave-shaping. The recently added Overdrive effect aims to deliver similar distortion to some of the classic guitar pedals, but we have found that it is also great for applying various enhancing effects to different sound sources.
