Digging around in the Preferences of your DAW may not be the most glamorous or exciting pastime in the world (certainly by comparison to making beats and loops), but with modern software and all its features comes an increasing level of complexity. Most developers organise controls fairly well, but there’s still quite a lot for the beginner or even the intermediate user to take onboard.
