Ableton Live 8 Workshop - Sharing Projects Pt 2
Moving projects to pro studios for mixing is always a good idea if you have the option to do so. Hollin Jones shows you how to export stems from Live 8.
Ableton Live 8 Tutorial

Last month’s Live 8 Workshop looked at the various different ways in which it is possible to export projects from Live to be opened on another system running another copy of Live while maintaining editability. These included the ability to duplicate all dependent files, samples and loops and pack them into a Live Pack, a format that not only ensures they are all present, but also reduces the file size of the project overall without sacrificing quality, making for easier transfer over the internet. We also looked at ways to get around certain issues that might arise, such as nonavailability of a given plug-in on the target system (eg, by bouncing down the tracks in question to audio).
