Throughout the history of electronic music, arpeggiators have been a welcome and popular feature of many synthesizers. Even today, given the power of the modern MIDI sequencers, manufacturers like Access and Waldorf still continue to design and implement arpeggiators at the heart of their current synthesizer range. For those seeking a little musical inspiration, arpeggiators can often be a useful springboard for new ideas, especially given the range of controls now available. Trance music, for example, has made use of the arpeggiator as a distinctive feature in many mixes.
