JoE Silva gets the lowdown on 11 hectic hours at Ocean Way Studios’ Nashville branch.

As if third albums weren’t notoriously difficult enough, Bobby Bare Jr decided to have a go at recording his latest LP – The Longest Meow – in a fashion that harks back to the days when his paternal namesake was laying down tracks in the early 60s. “Everything was done in one day,” Bare says, before adding, “with the exception of one trumpet overdub and a few vocal fixes.”
