Setting up a home studio can mean a major investment in both time and money, but having spent hours trying out bass guitars and finding an amp that’s just right, the determined bassist religiously reads through every review on their quest to find the perfect microphone to capture that wonderful bass tone they’re so proud of. Having finally finished setting up the home studio that took so much money, time and trouble to build, many of us are bemused to find that our bass recordings still sound awful… What could possibly be going wrong?
