Signal drop-outs, poor connections and cable noise are the bane of any studio, causing a great deal of frustration and wasting a lot of precious time. It only takes a budget cable to be trapped or pulled to cause potential problems; even just coiling cables too tightly at the end of a session can result in reduced effectiveness of the shielding or damage to the core itself. Cables are the arteries of any studio, carrying sound from one piece of kit to another, so they need care and attention to keep everything flowing smoothly.
