Composing with MIDI in Sonar 3/4
Cakewalk’s MIDI effects turn Sonar 4 into the composer’s ultimate toolkit. Brian Smithers shows you how to make the most of them.
The great thing about MIDI is that it’s so malleable. The good folks at Cakewalk understand this and they have developed some cool tools to simplify the process of composing with MIDI in Sonar 4. One of these is the Pattern Brush, which enables you to wave what amounts to a magic wand and create proper-sounding drum and percussion parts.
