Creative use of effects in Reason 2
Reason contains a host of cool effects that can be used creatively to help liven up your tunes. Adi Winman looks at how Reason 2 can add that little touch of ‘fairy dust’ to your mix.
Using effects creatively can make the difference between a mix sounding dynamic and full of depth, or flat and lifeless. To liven up a mix you could add reverb or delay to add depth to a lead synth line, use a stereo harmoniser to widen a group of backing vocals or even compress and distort the life out of a drum loop.
