Cubase 4.1 Workshop - Media Management Part 2
The second instalment of our foray into media management explores tagging and presets, both of which are key to achieving better workflow. Hollin Jones explains.

The first part of this series discussed how Cubase scans your media folders and drives and explained how you can search for files using specific criteria. At the heart of these search functions are tags, much like those you can find in Winamp or iTunes. Indeed, the concept is broadly the same, only taken a bit further. In iTunes, for example, you can specify the artist, the bit rate of a track and its year of release, among other things; Cubase, however, enables you to specify tags such as recording location, bar count, actor name, boom operator and more.
