Cubase 4.1 Workshop - Track types (part 2 of 2)
Quick Controls are a simple but powerful way to improve your workflow and gain more effective control over your projects. Hollin Jones explains.

As pro audio software becomes more advanced, control over the many features on offer starts to become increasingly important – those tools aren’t of much use if they are overly complex or difficult to find. Usability, then, is key to a DAW’s success, and Cubase is widely regarded to be one of the best in the business when it comes to productivity and intuitive operation. There are programs out there with more fl ashy plug-ins, but often they are let down by clunky and ill-thought-out interfaces. Working with music is a creative process, and although it’s always going to be quite technical at this level, the fewer menus there are to navigate, buttons to find and clicking to do, the better.
