Cubase has had the facility to play back video along with audio projects for some time now. It’s a particularly useful feature for soundtrack composers, who can write and arrange music to picture on a single computer without needing external monitors or hardware. Composing soundtracks, however, is just one of the applications for using movies in a Cubase project – and nowhere does it say that Cubase is just for music. In fact, it is equally versatile in a number of other areas where film is concerned, such as recording foley tracks.
