Half the battle as an engineer and producer is re-creating the sound that we hear on commercial recordings and in our heads within the confines of the project, budget or home studio. Obviously, many commercial recordings use some very high-end equipment and locations it is never going to be possible to re-create Abbey Road Studio 1 in your bedroom! However, there are some tricks we can use to help us get closer.
