The chances are that if you have a copy of Cubase SX3 you are using at least some VST instruments, be it as the basis of a song or simply to generate the odd percussion hit. Having invented the format, Steinberg knows a thing or two about VSTs and has long bundled some of its own with Cubase (not quite as many as it perhaps should, but they have always been supplied with the program for free).
