Record Preview
The long wait is nearly over – Propellerhead is putting the finishing touches to its new audio-recording software. Hollin Jones takes a sneak peek at Record.

There can be little doubt that legions of loyal Reason users desperately wanted Propellerhead to implement audio recording facilities in its software at some point. Not because there aren’t plenty of capable audio recording packages out there, but because the elegance and stability of Reason strongly suggested that if the Props turned their hand to audio recording, it would probably be highly successful. To Prop-watchers, however, it never seemed likely that Reason in its current form would simply have audio-recording capabilities ‘bolted on’ – Propellerhead always seemed too careful to do anything like that.
