Keeping your grooves sounding fresh and original when you’re mixing clips and loops together for a live performance can often present something of a challenge. A looped drum sample played over and over again will soon start to sound stale – even if you have a large collection of loops to play with – so to prevent boredom setting in it’s necessary to introduce some variation to the rhythm.
