Groove extraction using Hitpoints in Cubase SX

Cubase SX introduces Hitpoints to the mix. Karl Hodge takes you on a time-stretching tour of this major feature.

One of the primary uses for Hitpoints is to extract the groove from a rhythm track so that it can be applied to MIDI instruments or even sliced audio. We take you through the process in our step-by-step tutorial, but there are still a couple of general tips and tricks to remember.

This feature first appeared in Music Tech Magazine issue 01
