Guitar Tech: Anti-guitar tones
Once you have your guitar tracks down, what your recording really needs is… your guitar. Mick Taylor explains why.
You have the rocking rhythm, the perfect picked arpeggios and the dreamiest dreadnought down to disk already. The track’s coming along nicely, but what you could really do with are some layered sounds to add that certain je ne sais quoi, lifting your song from ordinary guitar, bass and drums, to something far more interesting. In short, your guitar needn’t always be your guitar.
