We first got to blast through DigiTech’s Jimi Hendrix Experience pedal back in January at the Winter NAMM show in California. It was greeted with some bemusement back then, not because the thing sounded great, but because the Hendrix estate isn’t known for officially licensing its boy’s name and image with gay abandon. So, DigiTech has seemingly pulled off something of a blinder in teaming up with Jimi’s representatives and former engineer Eddie Kramer to re-create sounds from seven of the great man’s songs.
