This month’s Workshop explores one of the hidden facets of Logic that few users seem to realise exists – namely, the possibility of using sidechain inputs as a means of controlling Sculpture. If you haven’t encountered Sculpture before, it works as a form of physical modelling synthesizer, but throwing away the conventional rules of synthesis (like oscillators, envelopes, filters and so on) and instead using a series of ‘physical’ properties (including pickup positions, string materials and so on) to create new and imaginative sounds.
