Logic Pro 6
Emagic’s decision to gift Logic 6 buyers with its entire plug-in range presents only one problem – what do with them all. Mark Cousins explains how you can get the best from Logic Pro 6.
It’s been a long time coming, but with the release of Logic Pro 6 we can finally seen the real impact of Apple’s acquisition of Emagic. The result is a pleasant surprise – re-bundling and simplifying the product range makes a great deal of sense and, given its attractive upgrade price, it has made many Logic users incredibly happy. The move brings Logic into line with Apple’s other Pro applications, such as Final Cut Pro, and asserts Apple’s intention to provide professional media production software alongside cutting-edge computing technology. With the inclusion of respected plug-ins like the EXS24, EVP88 and Space Designer, Logic Pro 6 is a very hard system to beat.
