However much we rely on the pristine audio quality of applications like Logic Pro, it’s often the ‘dirtier’ aspects of these programs – the Distortions, BitCrushers and Filters – that seem to get most users excited. Musicians and engineers both have a perpetual fascination with these lo-fi effects, which can transform otherwise bland tracks into something far more aggressive.
