Of all the audio sequencers used to perform sound-to-picture work, Logic Pro 7 seems to have had the most loyal and consistent following throughout its many years in the business. Despite strong competition in the US from Digital Performer and the prominence of Pro Tools in UK post-production facilities, Logic Pro still seems to be the system of choice for those requiring an application flexible enough to handle all aspects of sound-to-picture work. Indeed, given the revolution that DV has brought to desktop video production, it’s quite possible that you’ll need to cover a film’s entire sound requirements, including sound design, dubbing and the music soundtrack – all areas that Logic Pro 7 is equally adept at.
