O f all the instruments in a traditional band lineup, drums tend to receive the most attention in respect to post-production and editing. Indeed, few commercially recorded acoustic drum tracks escape some degree of manipulation and editing. Of course, a more balanced approach suggests keeping the use of extreme editing to a minimum, but even in the most perfectly executed performance, there’s always room for a few ‘optimisational’ tweaks.
