Logic Pro 8 Workshop - processing guitar
Creating a distinctive signature guitar sound in Logic Studio requires more than just Guitar Amp Pro alone. Mark Cousins polishes his axe.

Only ten or so years ago, the thought of plugging an electric guitar directly into your computer and recording it would have seemed like a pipe dream, with few plug-ins capable of delivering realistic or believable guitar sounds. However, with the release of products such as Native Instruments’ Guitar Rig and IK Multimedia’s AmpliTube, it’s now standard practice for guitarists to DI themselves directly into a computer, using plug-ins to provide all the tone and distortion they desire. And in keeping with these developments, Logic Studio includes its own guitar amp simulator, Guitar Amp Pro, which is capable of delivering a range of authentic amplifier tones, from searing leads to bluesy rhythm guitars.
