Logic’s Hyper Editor is one of Logic’s more unusual MIDI editors an intriguing mix of a grid-based drum editor, combined with an intuitive means of manipulating MIDI controller data. While the Hyper Editor might not be your first port of call for day-to-day editing tasks, it remains a powerful component in Logic’s range of MIDI-editing features, and the source of some interesting and usual effects. It’s also a highly configurable editor – enabling you to create your own Hyper Sets customised to specific virtual instruments, for example, or joining together a number of controller messages to be edited adjacent track lanes.
