Logic's Distortion effects
Distortion is a versatile and creative effect. Dan Livesey looks at some of the sound-mangling tools found in Logic.
Distorting and overdriving sounds has long been an important part of performing and recording music. Aside from the obvious over-driven guitar sound, distortion can be applied to a wide range of other situations if used correctly – gently warming up a piano or vocal sound, or producing terrifying, Aphex Twin-like noises.
