Following on from our exploration of pad sounds with the ES2 in Issue 93, we’re now going to take a look at another defining area of the ES2 – synth bass. Although most of us have access to a number of good software synthesizers, the ES2 remains one of the most powerful when it comes to producing bass lines. Maybe it’s the flexibility of the oscillators, its powerful Unison feature or the gritty multi-mode filter, but the ES2 rarely fails to fill out the bottom end of the mix.
