Making Dubstep

Dubstep is one of the most exciting new movements of recent years, attracting growing numbers of fans. Hollin Jones examines how it’s made.

There seem to be fewer and fewer genuinely new styles of music emerging since the turn of the 21st century. There’s new music, but much of it is a retread of – or heavily indebted to – styles that have gone before. Dubstep, however, is a bit different.
