The vast majority of audio recorded in the studio is now recorded digitally, and is dealt with via some form of software interface that manages all of your audio files and retains information about your session. It is no longer as necessary to keep copious notes about effects settings, track sheets and so on, as much of that information is retained within the sequencing software itself.
