More Reason Then Ever
Reason has continually set new standards for power and ease of use among software studios, and version 2.5 is no exception. Hollin Jones takes a look at the elements that make up the latest upgrade from Propellerhead Software.
Version 2.5 of Reason may not be a ground-up rewrite, but it does add a
heap of exciting new features to Propellerhead’s massively popular
studio. There are four new sound processing tools (including a vocoder
and dedicated reverb unit) and two new signal path routing utilities.
And best of all, the upgrade is entirely free if you’re already a
registered Reason user. Over the next few pages we’re going to take you
for a spin around all the new features of v2.5, but let’s start by
taking a quick look at what Reason is, who uses it and how it’s got to
this stage.
