Moog Filter Synths
Our friends at PinkNoise Studio have crafted 12 rich-sounding synth
patches, all heavily filtered through the UAD Moog Filter plug-in. The
idea behind the pack was to use a selection of synths as oscillators
(Waldorf Microwave Xtk, Access Virus and Roland Juno 60), but use the
Moog instead of the synths’ own filters, with different envelopes to
impart the special character of the Moog sound.
Dubstep Construction Kits
Equinox Sounds has put together three massive dubstep construction kits
for you to take apart and sit in your tracks. Each kit contains four
full mixes, four drum mixes and deconstructed loop components (drum
layers, bass, keys, guitar, synth and more) in ACID WAV format, so you
can stretch them to fit the tempo of your project.
Prime Loops Samples Tasters
A collection of cutting-edge samples from Prime Loops’ latest releases.
Check out the chilled grooves of Babylon Beats or XXL Reggaeton Drums
or, if you like your beats four to the floor, then there are heavy
drums, synths and bass loops in Electro House Shoxx, Filter House
Attack and Synth Bass Analogy. Finally, you’ll find uplifting house
pianos in Club Keys and blistering drum & bass beats in Liquid
D&B Essentials.
LoopTV provides another trio of video treats. First we head to the British Music Experience exhibition at the O2 Arena to meet Welsh drummer-turned-producer Greg Haver, who’s worked with the likes of Manic Street Preachers, Super Furry Animals, Catatonia and The Lost Prophets. There’s also an interview with Propellerhead’s James Bernard about the latest software update for Reason 5, while in the final two parts of the Frontline producer series, Laurance Traverso presents over 20 minutes of expert Pro Tools recording tips
