Digidesign’s latest virtual instrument, Transfuser, is one of the company’s most ambitious plug-ins to date. It is in many ways the next evolution of Digidesign’s Synchronic plug-in, providing comprehensive loop-slicing and manipulation tools. However, Transfuser goes considerably further than its predecessor, incorporating a wealth of new and different tools. These are not intended solely for manipulating existing loops, but for creating new loops on-the-fly or even manipulating real-time audio as an effect plug-in rather than an instrument.
