When Digidesign acquired Wizoo and formed the AIR (Advanced Instrument Research) group to develop a range of plug-ins for Pro Tools, it was a fair guess that a soft sampler would be among the first instruments to emerge from the group. Digidesign’s own Soft SampleCell was long in the tooth and third-party samplers were offering users far greater functionality.
