Every musician making electronic music has their own unique methods for creating drones and evolving pads, whether it’s using found sounds and abusing them with effects and other sound-design techniques or creating them from scratch using synthesis. Pro Tools LE 8 has several great tools for creating and evolving drones, whether you’re using them for background noise or as a harmonic fundamental on which to root your music.
