Setting up a website might be a daunting prospect, but it will be an essential promotional tool. Keith Gemmell tells you what you need to know about choosing an ISP and web host, and designing and building your site.
Reality check: despite the advent of iTunes and other online music distribution sites such as MusicMatch, as yet, these services are still very much for ‘labels only’. Even if you set up your own record label, to convince Apple and other companies that you are worthy of their attention, you’ll probably need a catalogue and some sales figures to back it up.
