One of the exciting new effects units in the latest release of Reason is the BV512 Digital Vocoder. Adi Winman looks at how to get to grips with it.
Using strange effects on vocals now seems as commonplace as using
reverb on a snare, and they often make the difference between an
exciting and cutting-edge vocal or an ordinary, lifeless one. To liven
up your vocal you could use the obligatory reverb or delay to add
depth, or even compress the life out of a it for a super-loud sound,
but there are other options…
