Reason 2.5's Scream 4, Unison and Splitters
Where Reason 2 brought new instruments, Reason 2.5 brings new effects modules. Hollin Jones completes our look at the new features.
Reason’s ‘virtual rack’ approach to interface design was something of a breath of fresh air when it was introduced, resulting in a logical and easy-to-use program. Its modular structure suggests that it would lend itself to the addition of many different sound sources, but alas Reason is self-contained. Lucky, then, that in version 2.5, Propellerhead has added some clever effects and processing units to complement the new instruments introduced in version 2.
