Together with compression and EQ, reverb is one of the most widely used effects in music production. That’s because sound recorded in a virtual space rather than a physical one lacks the natural reverb caused by sound waves bouncing off walls, floors and ceilings and reaching the ear in varying times and intensities, so it sounds somewhat unnatural.
