Reason 4 Workshop - Optimising Reason
Reason 4 is the most powerful version to date, but older machines can struggle with large projects. Hollin Jones shows you how to optimise Reason for maximum performance.

As computer processors become ever more powerful, the software we use makes greater and greater demands of the hardware, while our expectations of what we should be able to do with our computer increases too. Take a brand-new, top-of-the range PC or Mac, for example. If the software and hardware were compatible you could probably run the world’s biggest Reason 1.0 project without it breaking a sweat. This is slightly academic, of course, since old software and new operating systems aren’t exactly famous for their abilities to play nicely together.
