When you’re thinking about how to get great acoustic instrument sounds from your computer, Reason may not be a solution that leaps to the top of your list of candidates. Perhaps that’s because a lot of its promotional and demo material focuses on electronica, which is what a large proportion of Reason users produce. It’s also the case that there are some excellent third-party software instruments on the market focused on acoustic instruments, although they tend to be fairly expensive and resource-hungry and work as plug-ins with other DAWs, but not usually with Reason.
