Reason 4 Workshop - Live performance (part 1)
Reason might be primarily a studio composition tool, but it’s more than adequately equipped for onstage performance, too. Hollin Jones goes live.

Most people are aware that Reason has live performance features, but rather fewer have actually undertaken a live project and taken advantage of them. Of course, it might be that you’re not an experienced live performer, but setting up Reason is a relatively hassle-free way to ease yourself into the world of laptop playing. Unlike most DAWs – which require someone to remain perched behind the computer – Reason’s ReMote system enables multiple users to control a project at the same time, making it more flexible. All you need to do is prepare your session, then use two or more MIDI controllers to trigger the project in a live situation. This Workshop, then, is going to focus on how you might go about setting up Reason for this kind of scenario.
