Reason 4 Workshop MIDI editing part 1
MIDI is at the heart of Reason, and knowing how to work effectively with it is crucial to making better music. Hollin Jones lifts the lid.

Since its inception, Reason has been a steadfastly MIDI-only sequencer. Despite calls by some for it to incorporate audio recording capabilities, Propellerhead has not done so, and Reason remains a better product for it. After all, there are many DAWs out there that can record audio and Reason will connect to most of them seamlessly via ReWire. By not accommodating audio tracks or thirdparty plug-ins, therefore, Reason remains a very stable and CPU-efficient program.
