For many people, Reason was the first piece of software they used that made the laying down of rhythm tracks as easy and intuitive as it had seemed on classic drum machines. Of course, there were plug-ins available for making beats, but the sheer simplicity of the ReDrum made it a joy to work with and Reason’s programmability meant that even a beginner could be making great rhythms ten minutes after installing it.
