REX loops in Reason 2.5

You may have used REX loops without fully understanding the creative potential they offer. Hollin Jones looks at Reason’s own REX loop player.

One of the best features of modern music software is the flexibility it offers when working with samples and sound sources. Reason’s Dr.Rex loop player, a mainstay of the program since its inception, is perhaps less prominent as a creative tool than some of the other modules. Dig a bit deeper, however, and you’ll discover a powerful instrument that gives you unparalleled control over the REX loops supplied with Reason (or from any other third-party source).
