The special magic that transforms a final mix into a radio- or club-ready track is applied during mastering (see the feature in Issue 59 for an in-depth look at the subject). And with its 64-bit signal path, Sonar is well-equipped to make those final tweaks without any unintended degradation. Ever mindful of this potential, Cakewalk has made a point of including appropriately refined mastering-quality plug-ins in recent versions and Sonar 8 is no exception.
