Sonar 8 Workshop - Making ambient tracks
Sonar is as versatile as you are. To prove it, Brian Smithers ventures into the wilds of nature to create an ambient track based on natural sounds.

Over the past month or so, we’ve found ourselves listening to a lot of ambient soundscapes based on location recordings of nature and environmental sounds (at sites such as www.secretgardenproject.com and a couple of others). So, we decided to put Sonar to the test as a platform for creating natural ambient music. We started with some field recordings we had made of rain, thunder, wind, frogs and crickets, but if you don’t have anything similar to hand you can start with the Hollywood Edge sounds included with Dimension Pro.
